Michael Crichton wrote a little book a few years ago called The Terminal Man, that dealt with this matter. Didn't have happy ending, nope, not at all. This is not good!

Here's a story from 2004 that you may have missed:

http://www.cnn.com/2004/TECH/11/02/brain.dish/index.html

It is apparently becoming more common. Of course, it's still a long way from becoming anything useful, or dangerous...yet.

Biotech - if it can be done, it will be done. For good or ill. Usually some of both.

Heck, that goes for more than just bio-tech.

When I read stories like this, it reminds me of "1984" and Lewis's,
"The Abolition of Man". It will happen, probably, should our good Lord tarry. We need not worry,
but take comfort in our baptism.

"O Holy Ghost, you comfort me
Though threatening clouds around I see."

I must agree with Carl. Come what may, faith will direct us to count on God. In the end, God-given faith is the only thing that matters.

What's of concern is if the neurochips would use a Microsoft operating (sic) system.

Maybe a good tool for brain washing, mind control or survelance on the evil side.

Good tool for helping the paralyzed to walk again or the blind to see (i.e. Jordi on Star Trek)
