Bishop Takes a Cruise on Easter

I have to admit that my first thought when I read this article is that the guy is a bum. On second thought, that's my second thought too.

The story makes sense to me. I mean, if you're going to close the church doors on Christmas Day, then why bother with Easter? Let's make it a "family day" instead, just like Christmas - NOT!

My favorite part of the article:

"A spokesman for the bishop confirmed he would be on the cruise and maintained that Chartres had not neglected his flock. He intends to record a service before he leaves for the cruise. "

Why be surprised? It is the natural progression for them. Why celebrate Easter if your not quite sure he rose bodily?

"The bishop can look forward to a warm welcome." Uh hum! Maybe on more places than just the boat!
