Answer: Green Hornet

Question: What's your favorite television theme song?

Some people collect stamps or desiccated insect carcasses to pass the time. Not me. No sir. I just blew the last 40 minutes listening to the most awesomest T.V. theme songs of all time. Check this out baby!

So what's yours? And don't give me something obvious like Cheers or Welcome Back Kotter. Surpise me!!

I'd have to give it some thought. I'm rather fond of the theme from The Adventures of Pete and Pete.

BTW< are you aware there are CDS of themes you can buy? I own 3 - 2 from 70's and 80's and 1 from 90's. :)

The Jeffersons, baby. So much so that I've got it as my cellphone ringer.

Ohhh, so many choices...

Well, at the very least, the themes from Magnum, P.I. and The White Shadow will be on my Top 5 list. Mike Post did a lot of great themes (including The Rockford Files, Hill Street Blues, LA Law, Black Sheep Squadron, the aforementioned Hardcastle & McCormick, The Greatest American Hero, Doogie Howser M.D., The A-Team, & NYPD Blue...).

For non-original (i.e., songs that were not recorded as themes) themes, I think my favorite might very well be that of Square Pegs, done by The Waitresses.
